Understanding Your Allergy
Symptoms

Allergies of all kinds are an increasingly common problem for Australians of all ages, and the latest evidence suggests that as many as one in three Australians suffer from aeroallergy syndrome. You might recognize the term ‘hayfever’, or ‘allergy eyes’, or notice that your asthma gets worse seasonally, in winter, spring or summer!
We see people with aeroallergy syndrome who are tired or run down, who have a stuffy congested nose or sinus pain, headaches or sore throats, a cough or sniffles. We also see people whose eczema has flared up, with post nasal drip that leads to throat clearing, or whose asthma is less well controlled in some seasons or places. But most commonly, aeroallergy syndrome shows up as a runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, or sneezing.
